Madeira
The Madeira Nature is rich in biodiversity of endemic Fauna and Flora species, classified as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Laurel Forest covers 15,000 ha, 12,000 of which are nature reserve.
Madeira is also known for its beautiful hiking trails along the levadas (irrigation channels), which always offer beautiful views of the steep and partly densely overgrown mountains that rise from the blue sea.
